The First Flowers

I was out on the bike again today, completing the 12 km circuit and, when down by the sea in Älandsbro, exploring some woodland paths, trying to find a way down to the edge of the sea. Eventually I succeeded and found a lovely spot to drink my coffee out of any wind with the sun beaming down and a lovely, wide view, of which the extra shows just a part.
On the way home I kept my eye on the bank alongside the road. This bank gets full sun in the warmest part of the day and sure enough I was rewarded with my first sight of Swedish wild flowers this spring. As usual they were coltsfoot flowers (tussilago farfara). Bursts of yellow in the otherwise brown dead grass.
