The dog walker

Our local golf course is empty. Closed.  Walking across it this afternoon there was an eerie silence about the whole area, apart from one dog walker in the distance.

Normally on Sunday afternoon the place would be buzzing with golfers and you walked across it at your peril.

Not so today.
I went into the adjoining woods, the first time since knee and hip surgery three months ago. It felt like I had chalked up another mini milestone in my rehab programme.

But any feelings I had of joy were overshadowed by the enormity of the lockdown we now face and the awful stress this must place many families in especially those living in crowded housing conditions with children.

How on earth will they cope with a potential lockdown of six months?

On a lighter note hardly an hour goes by without a ping on my iphone- yet another funny video. Have yet to work out how to share them on Blipfoto but a few are still images ,like this one today.

PS Blippers outside the UK  may be unaware that one of our restrictions is that a person is allowed to walk a dog- and there are reports of dogs being “loaned”  .
