Can You Hear Me Now?

The title of this blip is the catch phrase that my ISP uses in their television commercials. We are now on day 5 of having connectivity issues. With the exception of a couple of hours on Wednesday, we've had no phone, television, or Internet. We boosted one of the Iphone data subscriptions and are using that as a Wifi connecting point so that we can at least pretend to be in the modern age. We had an appointment for the ISP to come out between 1 - 5 PM on Friday. They decided to change their schedule, arrived at 9 AM (while we were at work) and then "closed our ticket" as a result of a "customer no show". When we called at noon to verify our 1 - 5 appointment, we were told that they didn't have anyone in the area and that they would not be able to get to us until at least Saturday. I told them that they had a tech just 9 houses up from us putting in new service for someone and that why don't they send him up to our house when he is done. Their response: "We don't have the ability to do that". My response: You have to be f*cking kidding me! This is now the third appointment that has been missed because the vendor can get their act together. They apparently no longer have any commitment to customers other than to collect the monthly fees. Well enough of that other than the the theme of today's blip which is related:

I went to take the trash out yesterday evening and found this Mockingbird (I think) sitting on the fiber cable singing away. I'm glad that our fiber line was at least getting some use!
