Rescue!

The wind today is surprisingly cold, and the fast-moving clouds keep folding themselves over one another to crowd out the patches of blue. The wind lifted this little caterpillar briefly as it made its way across one of the narrow roads. Then, as a car approached, I ferried it to safety, where it curled up in a ball.

Tried to find out what sort it is, but there seem to be loads of short, brown, hairy caterpillars - probably a moth larva rather than a butterfly.

Meanwhile, my Extra shows a thousand tinies - all joined together into a dramatic illustration of an RNLI rescue - my latest jigsaw, which justifies my sharing it on "Tiny Tuesday"! Thanks to challenge host Jensphotos.
