A Day Worth Recording

Red Light District

I suspect this is as near as Malvern gets to a 'red light' district.

We went for a mid-length 'one walk' today, up the hills, down and across the railway line, and back along the ex-Midland Railway trackbed.  The Midland line diverged from the main line a bit beyond that red light - just before Malvern Wells (GW) station, behind me - before heading down to the Malvern Wells (MR) station, where the showground now is, and on to Tewkesbury.  The 'tree line' of the track is still easily traceable from the hills.

Malvern had four stations at this point, reflecting its importance to the Victorians. Now it just has the two.
