Uncertain Times

Interestingly our industry has featured on the news this evening. As an industry we are asking for government help.It has never been our way we are not farmers who get handouts from government and Europe we are proper legitimate business that stand on our own two feet.We are not spongers like the agricultural sector, we would rather be allowed to trade.

Good to see Alan Titchmarsh standing up for us.He has always been an advocate for the industry.Interestingly not a word from the current Gardeners World team but that isn't really a surprise their horticultural knowledge is very thin on the ground,I have probably forgotten more than their entire sum of knowledge.

At the moment people can buy plants at their local supermarket but the local retail nursery or garden centre has to be closed. It is probably easier to social distance in a garden centre or nursery than a supermarket.

There will be no government help I have no doubt. No government of either colour has ever given a shit about our industry.

At this difficult time staying at home doing the garden and planting some plants is good for the soul and your mental wellbeing.

Mainly overcast but it has felt a bit warmer today.

Picture looks much better large.
