Swan Lake*

Today's walk took me past the Cuilc where I was pleased to see all four swans in the water: a second pair had joined the resident pair a few weeks ago but were chased out anytime they tried to enter. They appear to have been given a respite. 

Other wildlife encountered was this  pheasant(extra) who was quite happily wandering around a ruined barn. 

I also met someone from my on-line gardening class which is on tonight - it felt quite strange saying "seeing you tonight". 

The news today has seemed especially grim - the sad but inevitable rising death toll, the lack of testing and the continued lack of PPE equipment. I really feel and fear for our frontline medical staff.
