Sovereign Scale

Back in the mid/late 60's I dabbled in the Gold Trade!  (Slight exaggeration, I bought and sold a few Sovereigns and Half-sovereigns).  It was quite good business and I made a couple of shillings on the way :-)
This was my Sovereign scale - not that a ever really needed it, but it seemed to be a 'good thing to have'.
It's an early 19th Century example and is used to weigh both full and 1/2 sovereigns. The scales are made of brass and fully stamped 'Sovereign Patent Warranted'. They are also stamped with a Crown and marked 'T&S'  for the maker.  Those were the days....:-)
Slightly later Blip tonight - me & Mrs MD have been out clapping...:-)
