River of Flowers

Friday: Gooseberry Flowers …

… so small and insignificant, but the bumble bees have found them! :-))
Gardening jobs continue:
Potted up a dozen cloves of garlic from grocery shopping.
Pricked out Jersey Walking Stick kale & red cabbage seedlings, loads of red cabbage so some found their way into my lunchtime salad.
Bush Tomatoes “Cherry Falls” (5) into small pots, tiny amount of water onto roots, in greenhouse protected by net curtain.
50 seedlings of Cosmos, for the pollinators & colour in the garden.
10 of Red Orach, one of this year’s perennial veggies experiments.
For years I’ve been trying to grow curly kale, today I’ve potted on 4 healthy seedlings and one weedy one … this is progress!!
Sowed some Lobelia erinus for MrD’s hanging baskets - their flowers are a very dark blue, the seed was like dust.
Started watching “London Kills” on iPlayer, started with Series 1 episode 1, it’s very watchable, interesting characters and stories which draw you in ...
MrD & I watched “Have I Got News for You” where everyone was in their home as is becoming the norm whilst we are locked down due to Covid-19. It was very funny :-))
It’s scary that with the “stay at home” rule that so many tourists are still arriving on Anglesey & Llanberis, people are so stupid ...
Stay healthy and happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
