Our New Family Member

I’m bracing myself for the arrival of a newly created family member. Though not fully matured at this time, a very pleasant feathered beach-mate has begun to lighten up my wife’s work space. Early this morning as I opened up the windows in her niche, I was beckoned to realize its presence, and to lovingly welcome him/her home. The formal adoption will no doubt take place soon. Until that time I’ll make sure to share pleasantries when passing and to keep a watchful eye out.
