I share my kitchen with a gecko

It's been there for a while, and is very fast getting away.   Its home is under the microwave (we think).   Tonite, I saw a low, grey shape streak from the toaster oven, behind the shallow bowl for rubber bands, behind the orchid plant and behind the stack of dishes sitting on the counter.    Moved all of that away and asked G to help corner the little fellow.   Too fast, the gecko ran right under the microwave.    We said oh well, another day.
We have a two compartment sink.  One side has a small dish drainer and the other side has the garbage disposal and it's where I stack the dishes to wash them.   Came back to do the dishes and found its tail and one elegant foot sticking out of the drain hole on the drainer side, it having gone down the drain.   Put away the few dishes on his side - it didn't move!   Touched its tail gently and it didn't move.  Decided to do the dishes  . . . it suddenly changed direction and popped its head out.   Oh, da cute !
It's still there for all I know . . .  I gotta do my blip  . . .   will look again tomorrow.

Newspaper headline :  ISLES RECORD THIRD DEATH
One more death today brings it to 4.
The Hawaii National Guard is called out to help with airport screenings.

Quick foray out early this morning (6:30AM) to the drug store.  It was surreal to be out.
