We are grateful to all the NHS staff and of course everyone who is working or volunteering to keep us all as safe as possible during these troubled times.
The small locket pictured here belonged to Mrs  J,s aunty, the photo was of her husband. She wore it right through the First World War, he returned with an injury at the end of the war.
He served on the front line on the Somme as a sniper and was promoted on field.
I felt this locket acted as a reminder of the dark days our relatives also went through.
There are better times ahead.
