Eggs!

A slow day (see yesterday) with several tactical naps.  Lots of reading of the new(ish) Hilary Mantel – which merits slow and considered reading, and an occasional reread of a particularly well-turned phrase.
 
Gorgeous weather.  Despite the lockdown and the ennui that brings, it is glorious to see spring unfolding regardless.  Mind you, those birds that get started right outside my window at 6.15am are enough to put you right off nature.

The hens are producing eggs, slowly but steadily.  The one on the right was stood on before it was retrieved!
