A Lady and A Rose..

...Both from our garden, I think the Lady survived the hot summer sun much better than the roses, most are sunburnt but the ever surviving roses still have lots of buds coming on.
(Perhaps I should have taken a sun-burnt rose - now, that would have been different!)
However, the rose bush we have growing right next to her has done well, although this is not a good specimen really - just very robust and colorful today..to brighten us up...
It was planted from a tiny little cutting which we brought from our Son's home, and I was surprised it had even grown - but it is called "Mr. Lincoln" and is a very fragrant rose - to us - the only type of rose to grow, although we have others, so we do give in a little where it comes to a beautiful rose...they are certainly survivors...
