Lockdown Birthday

Seven years ago I was on Holy Isle.
Six years ago it was Amsterdam.
Five years ago Miyajima in Japan.
Four years ago Helensburgh.
Three years ago Glasgow then Venice.
Two years ago Rome.
Last year Limehouse then Naples.

Long time blippers will know I try to go somewhere I’ve never been for my birthday. We had plans for this year that long ago were ‘paused’. To tell you the truth, I assumed we would celebrate in about six months time. But Tim didn’t get that memo. He gave me a wonderful day starting with an Aperol Spritz and presents and closed with an ice cream cone. Who knew a lockdown birthday could be so much fun?
