New Every Morning

The grandchildren looking out of our attic window (standing on our floor mattress) on this fresh new morning, seeing what birds they could see, and the horse chestnuts covered in new green leaves.

To go with today's Lent verse, which is Lamentations 3v22-23:
God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out,
his merciful love couldn’t have dried up.
They’re created new every morning.
    How great your faithfulness!

This was from a man who had seen terrible suffering, his whole nation utterly destroyed, but his faith told him that God's love couldn't have run out - maybe partly because he saw the sun coming up each morning - as do we. (And in a beautifully clear sky.)

Gratefuls:
- more packages in the post - from Jan, and things I'd ordered, like a children's world map, exciting! So good to have deliveries, thanks to the heroes who do it
- the most beautiful, sunny day; we ate lunch in the garden and were almost too hot
- picking wild garlic in the Park (just a bit), and eating it stir fried for lunch
