Don't Give Up!

Hung these clothes out last night under a beautiful full moon - and need to go get them in as soon as I've blipped...

The Lent verse for today was exactly the encouragement I needed, and so appropriate for the day we remember Jesus, God incarnate, knowing he was about to be killed by those he'd created, tying on an apron, and kneeling down to wash his disciples' dirty feet because no-one had been humble enough to do it before. Galatians 6v9-10:
So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.

In Nature class today, the kids did a scavenger hunt of twenty items that we've looked at over the last three weeks of homeschooling. The prize was ice lollies. And now we'll have a short Easter holiday, yay!

Gratefuls:
- Jesus coming to show us the best way of living
- sunshine to dry the clothes ecologically, and to give us Vit D
- the oranges we're still eating from our trees in Mourão, giving us Vit C

It's occurred to me that some of you might appreciate a livestream that our church is doing on Good Friday (at 2:30, come with a candle, wine and bread) and Easter Sunday (at 8:30, 10:30 and 6:30, come with a smartphone if you have one). On Sunday, it will be our daughter, Deb, doing it, along with our minister - at an appropriate distance of course. I think they're about half an hour long. The address is https://www.scbc.org.uk/, and you'll see an easy link there. These are how our household will be celebrating Easter.
