Early Purple

Last night I worked out that I could just about walk to two locations where early purple orchids appear and get home again within the allotted hour. The spaniel and I set off this morning for the closest of the two sites and, after a bit of a search, I was delighted to find two flowering spikes. We'll try the other site next week.
