On the Pond’s Edge

A delightful day with lots of sun. During our walk this morning we stopped by a small pond in hopes of seeing a few birds or resident turtles. It’s all about timing, as you know. We were thrilled to see this chickadee flying back and forth to the hole in this birch tree. I assume it was building a nest and not feeding any babies. We also observed a first: an Eastern Phoebe! The pics were too blurry to post but what a find! On our way home we stopped to pick up a few groceries. Another find - Flour! What a day it’s been (Moody Blues, anyone?)
