Life in the time of Covid 19 Day 15

The Bovver boys
Actually they are not bovver boys at all but look like they should be. Usually seen in pairs trotting along the beach these black Oyster catchers move off when you come near them and seem to turn round and give you the evil eye for interrupting their activity.

Lockdown
A quick trip to the supermarket yesterday with no queue at all; we now have everything we need until we leave next Wednesday morning. It rained last night and again this morning just as we set off for our morning walk on the beach but it cleared and although blustery the sun has come out and it is 19°. The wind has flattened the surf and we have ripples for waves.
I have spent sometime trying to place an online order for groceries for when we get home but to no avail, have had to resort to older son who works over our way.

I am filled with admiration for the government here in New Zealand; yesterday they started sending out 17,000 computers to school children and 2,000 modems so they can continue their online school education as the new term starts next week. They are also sending out 20,000 age specific learning packs and another 40,000 next week. It is easy to say it is easier for NZ as they have a small population but that small population has to foot the bill as any other nation would!
