It seems the rape is beginning to flower, not everyone's favourite crop but I rather like the splash of yellow.

More or less the whole of the rest of the day was spent gardening, sowing vegetable seeds, mowing the grass and quite a bit of digging. I discovered a patch of really heavy clay with twitch running through it, but I got all the roots out that I could and added some old compost and grit from the greenhouse site. Then I planted a few potatoes in it, hopefully they'll help to break it up.
