Male Orange Tip Butterfly

Spotting the first Orange Tip of the season is one of my favourite springtime sights so as you can imagine that I was thrilled to see this beauty on my walk. It’s on Lady’s Smock which is one of the favourite food plants of it’s caterpillar.

I did some gardening this afternoon, it was very hot for digging!
