Strawberries?

One of the big things connected to Öland is strawberries. So many farmers grows strawberries and it's a big part of the economy of the island. The fields also provide jobs for so called "season workers" who arrives from, mostly, eastern Europe to work for a few weeks at the time. Right now the plants should be covered in straw to keep them warm so they can get going growing berries. Once they are ready to pluck, the next wave of workers arrive. Cucumbers, carrots, potatoes and a lot of other kinds of crops are dependant on the help from these season workers. For them, this work is vital making a huge difference in their daily life for the rest of the year. Of course no one can travel anymore so the fields are empty, the remaining straw comes from last years season. What you see in the blip is one of hundreds of strawberry fields, forever connected to the effects of the virus all over the world.
