The pastors wife’s good idea.

The pastors wife had a wonderful idea about two months ago. She thought wouldn’t it be great to buy all the kids in church an Easter egg. And not just a cheap one either, but a decent one. Since we have somewhere around 30 children, I took some persuading.

Of course she was right and we got them and tucked them away in a cool place to wait.

Then, the world changed and you couldn’t hug people any longer and you couldn’t talk with the little children up close and down on their level so they could speak easily with you.

And you couldn’t give them Easter eggs on a Easter Sunday morning because the church was scattered, like it was on that first Easter morning.

So they are resting in a bowl here on our counter, and in these next days if any one should like to get one, if they drive slowly past our door with their windows open, we’ll toss them in for the young and young at heart.
