Bluebells

The field behind our house has a long hedgerow and the (native) bluebells are now in full bloom. The hedge faces south and is on a slight bank, perfect for catching the early spring sunshine. I did go along there last week looking for them and they weren’t in flower, but now there are thousands of them. Such a lovely sight.

Dog Poo Rant…

There are those that pick up and those that don’t - that won’t change. Of the ‘picker uppers’ some lob their prizes in the trees and bushes - never understood that and it probably won’t change either. The remaining good dog owners deposit said presents in suitable bins.

However, the council is currently redirecting resources to essential services (like household waste collection) and have closed up a lot of the litter/poo bins and put up big notices to say please take litter and dog bags home. So we now have three new breeds of halfwits - those who feel it is fine to leave their bags on top of the closed bins, those who try (and often fail) to stuff the bags in overflowing bins and those who are now just dropping the bags at the side of the path. If this lockdown continues for as long as predicted (up to 6 months) then we will soon be wading through pile of dog poo bags on our walks!

Rant over - hope you weren’t eating!
