The girls love fennel!!

Today - Easter Sunday our son came round the back and hid lots of Easter eggs in the garden within sight of the patio doors!  Then they all trouped in and the two girls found all the eggs!  We watched from the door and I took a dismal set of photos!  But it was great watching even if we couldn't hug!  We gave each of the girls an egg, milk free for the little one.  It was wonderful hearing them: 'Here is one of yours, you can eat these!' 'Here is one of yours!'  No fighting for the most!  Gave Dad a large jar of olives and Mum a Spiralizer for making vegetable spaghetti out of courgettes etc.  Both were obviously delighted and they were also given a cake!!  We were given some delicious chocolates in a green metal egg that can be reused!!  As they left the girls helped themselves to fennel and the adults to a leaf of sorrel!!

Then Ro and I went for our daily walk - the usual cricket ground one!
Lunch and we fell asleep and then I prepared the Spanish chicken and Chorizo dish for tonight.  Ro and I tamed the triffid - a bush  whose name I have forgotten that has yellow flowers in winter and is very prickly with long leaves with lots of leaflets!  Can't get it all in this week's green bin!

Various phone calls and I'm sure there will be more!
The temperature is dropping and it could well rain!

I hope you are all having a good weekend in spite of the present circumstances!   xxxxx
