Easter Sunday

Another beautiful day and an early walk.

We got the details of this house when it was up for sale about 20 years ago but decided against it as it wasn't a walkable distance to town and school. The people that bought it have extended and improved dramatically and it is stunning.  Hetty ran over the lock gate and into their garden. Luckily they delighted in her.

As there is little movement of boats up and down the canal during lockdown, the water is stagnating and has caused 100s of fish to die and float on the surface.  Particularly at Prison bridge close to us.  The canal trust is going to open and close the gates regularly in the hope to improve matters.
