It's all the game...

More or less the only sunlight I saw today. I went to a course to train to be a Leader in Running Fitness, organised by UK Athletics. It was in the sports complex at Brighton University, with great views over the South Downs from the entrance (not alas from the windowless room in which I spent most of the day).

The complex is right next door to the Brighton and Hove Albion football stadium. There was a big match on - they were playing Arsenal in the FA Cup. So when the tutors on the course did that thing of asking 'what do you want to get out of today?', the unanimous answer was 'to get out of here before 30,000 football fans converge on the trains and roads'!

It was a great course, and we did get out before the end of the match. Sadly for the Seagulls, despite equalising twice, they lost. Theo Walcott was pulled off the subs bench and scored the winning goal in the 85th minute. How annoying is that?!
