Walking in the 'Hood

This is about as close as you can get to the roller coaster these days. There are three of these charming mosaic benches outside the neighborhood middle school, yet another tile project spearheaded by their remarkable art teacher. She has involved the community in so many fabulous installations, designed and executed primarily by her young students.

This is a sleepy Easter, overcast and grey and cold. No chocolate bunnies hopping around here! Me, I’m trying to take it easy on my sore neck, although here I am, still on the computer. Our trusty cat is joining the teddy bear in the window to wave at passers-by (Extra). Stay safe, blip buddies.

Word o’ the day: fomite: an object (such as a dish or a doorknob) that may be contaminated with infectious organisms and serve in their transmission. Vectors are animate, fomites are inanimate.
You should be able to work this in to any number of conversations.
