Yellow archangel

Lamiastrum galeobdolon. (The second word I believe means Weasel snout)

Just opened yesterday. Very common round here but then I believe it likes limestone. Archangel is a name shared with other “dead nettles” which fortunately do not sting.

Two extras today. The first open flower of Ramsons or Wild Garlic. In a week or two there will be hundreds of thousands round the village.

The other extra is a memory of these extraordinary times. Mrs. K. doing what millions are doing — inside, looking out.
