A view from Jeanneb

May...

... or Hawthorne blossom (or Blackthorn) just starting to appear down Leech Lane above our village. It’s barely out yet so no need to ‘cast your clouts’ yet which is just as well as it’s a cold wind out there today. It will soon be looking lovely.
We did ‘food parcels r us’ after this morning’s ATN on line sing, up to my sons. Took him leftover roast and veges from yesterday’s Easter Sunday dinner and chocolate mousse and strawberries for afters as of course he couldn’t join us for it yesterday. Like most people, I expect, we ate far too much and will be having left overs ourselves for tea.
So we continued on, after the delivery and a brief chat, down Leech Lane and back along the Beck through Goit Stock. What used to be caravan park is now a Park homes site in the valley bottom. We stick to the footpath and don’t walk through the homes but there were signs everywhere saying ‘Go Home’. This is a legitimate area for people in the village to get their daily exercise so whilst I understand the sentiment I felt a little unhappy about it.
We met one of my fellow morning walkers coming the other way and had a distance chat with her. She is a member of our village Players and we will be ‘virtually seeing’ her again later when we are having a quiz on webex, a platform we haven’t tried yet, set up by another Player who knows his computer stuff! Looking forward to that. Chris and I are a team which makes sense as we live together but some teams are of 2 individuals living in different houses. It’s going to be interesting!

Lots of Easter decorations around the neighbourhood - extra

Stay safe everyone.
