Life through the lens...

Captain Tom

My collage is of our walk this morning, on another beautiful day. A real change from yesterday.
It is green bin day, and we passed them on our way up the road.
I thanked each one of them  (  from a distance of course)
Then later on noticed this little message on one of the bins.
(  Made me smile with the " N "  wrong way round.)

However today's blip I want to dedicate to Captain Tom Moore, aged 99.
He began raising funds to thank the " Magnificent" NHS staff who helped him with treatmentfor cancer and a broken hip.
Aimed to complete 100 laps of his Bedfordshire garden by Thursday, walking with the aid of a frame.
He was trying to raise £1000. for NHS Charities.
So far the total is £1.5 million.
This is the Full story
So Hats off to Tom. A very courageous gentleman. Well done!

So we must all Take care, Stay safe, and like Tom keep smiling.

Our next door neighbour, has just knocked on the window, and left some cake on the windowsill for us.
So I am now going to join Mr C in the garden, and have a slice with our afternoon cuppa.

Unfortunately missed our granddaughter Jennie, who delivered our supermarket order this morning.
Many thanks once again to our dear DIL and family.
