Hoverfly

Not much to blip from our walk this morning, so it was a garden safari again - with my macro lens.

Found this hoverfly around the redcurrant bushes - hopefully busy pollinating the flowers for us! I tried desperately to get a shot of it hovering - but it just wouldn’t stay still long enough. Looks extra hairy in LARGE.

Days beginning to merge into each other now - I have had to put a reminder in my calendar to email me on Tuesday afternoons so I can put the bins out for collection on Wednesdays. About as exciting as life gets at the moment….

Mrs madwill has been doing some ‘special offers’ on her web site - and has generated enough cash to pay the rent this month - sadly no sign of any help from the landlords - at least we won’t have to dip into our savings just yet. She is probably not making any money on the sales - especially as she is offering free postage - but at least there is some cash coming in. She has managed to cancel all her outstanding orders with suppliers and stopped regular deliveries - so at least there will be no big bills to pay for new stock. If ‘social distancing’ is enforced in the future, her studio will not be able to accommodate many people - so it is looking increasingly unlikely that her classes could restart in September. Sadly with less than 18 months left on the current lease, and unlikely that a vaccine would be available by then, it would seem unlikely that she will be able to continue.
