Beautiful View

Shelly and I made games to give to our friends so they could play them while stuck inside. And also we could play them together on zoom. It's that kind of game where if each person has a set they can be apart and play the game together. We gave two to neighbors and then headed by car to give four more to "the guys that walk" and Shelly's close friend Joan and her husband Marv.

We went to Joan's first. We planned to leave the game at her front door since she didn't answer when we called to let her know we were coming. What we didn't know was that Joan was in her garden weeding. So when we arrived we were able to give her the game and remain over six feet apart while we did a tour of her garden and had a lovely conversation. It was great to see her (and Marv who was heading out to work... he is an emergency doctor).

Next we drove to Hank and Corinne's house to leave the game there. We also called and got no answer but when we arrived Corinne was there and she invited us to sit awhile on her deck, making sure we were all over six feet apart. As we were sitting there Hank and Stu arrived. They had been out walking. (Shelly has not been walking recently so he was with me.) They came on to the deck and we all spread out. Hank brought us coffee and macaroons and grapes and we had a conversation interrupted on a few occasions by a train passing below. This photo is a view from Hank and Corinne's deck.

It was so good to see our friends face to face and to talk while being very careful to keep our distance. We stayed until five so we will deliver the last game tomorrow. What a delightful day we had.
