Gökotta

Gökotta : a new word I have learnt today. It’s Swedish, definition - the act of rising early just to go outside to hear the birds sing.

Which is what I have got into the habit of doing these last few weeks, encouraged by the often clear blue skies.

The great tits are hopefully on their way to nesting in the bird box, notwithstanding their irritation at us having the audacity to try and use their back garden.
