Poem: The tower of London

Having covered some of the action in Norway in April 1940, Lorna now takes a break from her war diary. When she picks up her pen again, we'll discover that Lorna's family is split as her father leaves home to contribute to the British war efforts.

In the meantime we will mine the archive to bring you more poetry, art work, and a little extra on Lorna's father's earlier battle with slugs in Sheffield.

Ninety years ago today, the teenage Lorna was pondering the longevity of the Tower of London.
