Life through the lens...

By ValC

Happy and Sad.

Our day started on a high, watching Captain Tom complete his 100 laps, with a guard of honour provided by the 1st Battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment.
The total amount raised is now over £15 million.

Then it was out for our walk. With this sunny weather the blossom is coming out fast, and these white flowered cherry trees are some of my favourite. I think I like them better than the pink ones, which are not quite fully out yet.
Clear blue skies, but a bit of a cool sneaky wind today.
Decided to start sorting out the little bedroom/office. Didn’t get far. Too busy looking through boxes of past France holidays. However I did throw two bags of rubbish away.

Then we got the sad news.
Little Ollie, our youngest son’s family dog, had to be put to sleep. He was 16. A good age, but still very sad, as he has been part of the family for so long.He will be greatly missed.
The extra photo is one I took about 7 years ago.

Thursday again, and so don’t forget to go outside at 8pm and Clap for Carers and the NHS.

So take care, stay safe, and keep smiling.
