Down at the sea

A very windy day, very bright and the air very clear but with a wind that keeps it chilly. The wind is westerly which means it blows from the land, straight out to sea, across the beach and along this inlet - next stop Finland.
We walked across the beach, completely snow-free for the first time this year, and Jan posed for another photo in my "Smitingenbench" series, which you can see in the extra.
Once across the beach we walked along the side of the bay on the rocks. The sea level was at least a meter below normal so there were more rocks to walk on!
We had a flask of coffee and a snack with us and were looking for a sheltered spot to sit in. We thought this blipped place was good but then new gusts blew through and we had to move on.
Eventually Jan found a spot that was sheltered and sunny but I thought it was a bit uncomfortable so we moved on again, searching for the perfect spot. Of course, it didn't exist and after another 20 minutes or so we returned to Jan's suggested spot where we drank our coffee - it felt really warm in the sun!
