In the Eye of a Chipmunk

Dear Diary,

This is my selfie to begin my new year journaling.  An inadvertent one I must admit.  If you look very closely, you can just make out my shape in the door reflected in Rosie's eye.  She was willing to sit very still while I got very close.  Thank goodness my chipmunks visit everyday now.  The lack of squirrels is still quite baffling to me but I now have appreciative diners who leave me a tip in the form of a photograph.  I'll take it.

DAY SEVENTEEN: ”A specific purpose runs the risk that I might miss the many-splendored thing.” ~ Marion Milner  Don’t be in a hurry to photograph today. What happens when you let go of destination, goal, let go of expectations, and just enjoy the journey? Expectations be gone. What surprises you along the way?
