My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

One of our own

One of the porters at Leighton died this week with covid-19 infection. The Trust held a minute's silence at 11 o'clock this morning and there's a display so that people can write messages of condolence if they feel they want to.

I'm not sure I'd actually met Brian, having only been there three months, but he'd been at the Trust for 20 years and everybody's been saying how lovely he was. This sort of thing makes it all hit home that much harder. We just go to work to do our jobs, we take all the precautions, wear all the ppe, and it can still bite.

The Government has extended the lockdown for another three weeks. I don't think that'll be an end to it by any means but will hopefully allow us to reduce the numbers of infected and make the epidemic more manageable.
