Little Mama

Much of today, she's had Baby close to hand. She slept with her last night, made a bed for her in her bed when she went to bed tonight. Dressed her and her sister repeatedly during the day. Carried her, cared for her. She hasn't done that in a very long time. The babies have been shoved under piles of toys at the end of her bed.

She has also been very clingy to her own mama today. Twice a day, I send Katie for some garden time to burn off some energy and to try breathe in peace for just a couple of minutes. She wouldn't do it today. I had to go too. We have church on Sundays still. She normally takes her kids activities into her room. She wouldn't do it today. She stayed on my knee. I wasn't allowed to take my phone on our walk as photos take my attention. I wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom without being followed.

She wasn't miserable. A couple of moments of sad, but generally quite happy. Just incredibly clingy. And talkative. So much inane rambling on about actual garbage--nonsense sentences, weird sounds...!

Her bassoon work was impressive today.  She is preparing for an audition, a recording and a mentoring session all this coming week... But none of it seems to be phasing her. She's putting together pretty impressive work. She also finished up a big stack of work from junior department.

There was a sunset game of footie and there were so many snuggles.
