South coast of New Zealand

After spending an 'interesting" night in the top bunk aboard our Doubtful Sound boat we travelled down to the South Coast where we spent a few chilly and very windy days. Riverton is a tiny town with a tremendous coast line with quite a few colonies of Shags. It is a wild coast with views that look out towards Stewart Island.
It has a good eatery and l bought a pair of gloves to warm up my hands.

Photographed 21st February
