Spring Sprung

The regulations about (some) shops and public transport were relaxed today.  And the reaction was as you would expect.

Last week they opened our local recycling yard for the first time in weeks.  They had to close it 2 hours later because only a tiny % of people would follow the rules.  It is still closed.

The buses, which up until now had been running on a Saturday timetable and were all double length bendy-buses, are now back to being single carriage and running on the normal timetable.  They are also full.  Of people who can't stand 2 meters away from anyone.

I wasn't in the city centre so I can't report on what that was like but judging by the buses I saw going into town, it must have been busy.

I'm not really an optimistic man in this matter.  I think the numbers have to go back up.  Or we are the jammiest country in Europe.

Still, one of the views was nice today.
