A Day In The Life

Mrs. Cardinal

It’s been rather quiet at the feeders today, possibly because of the wind. I did see a small number of chickadees and goldfinches, plus a nuthatch or two, but the winner for today’s blip is the always glamorous female Northern Cardinal. Her bright orange-red beak looks like lipstick to me, and she carries the same coloring on her crest, wings and brows. My blip-friend justbe would call her “a corker” for sure. The Mrs. is the nest builder and, along with her bright red mate, is the first and last at the feeders each day. They are a most fashionable pair. Stay well!
