Continued changes

Test, test, test... thats what the WHO are saying....just on the day that Matt Hancock said (having been asked by Theresa May in HOC) "I agree wholeheartedly" "as this outbreak continues, so our testing must increase... and so we have to make sure the tests we have are prioritised"

...it's also a statement being made at a time when we're being told, basically no one is getting tested now, if you show signs of symptoms you must self isolate (for 14 days). Social distancing is announced, to not have contact with others and those who can, should work from home, recommendation not to visit pubs or restaurants and those over 70 and with underlying conditions (including for the first time pregnant people) should shield for 12 weeks! Schools are still open...which every one is moaning about.

This all being delivered from a platform in Downing Street where everyone is standing near to one another, with zero social distancing, to a packed press pack and then later Ministers in Parliament, which too was packed!

Labour party asking for testing for everyone, Tory commentators saying today's announcements are a great (grave) move and they've stepped it up. No laws have changed but the Government is making very serious statements now.

Deaths today, 55 souls.
We have 5000 ventilators
Germany have 28,000 ventilators
The Health Secretary has today asked for manufacturing companies to switch production to make ventilators.

Todays picture shows the lack of toilet roll at the end of this aisle. Luckily we have plenty and so no need to panic buy! Lb's in work today. She is covering for staff who have felt uneasy about coming in and interacting with the public (older staff). Over the last week things have changed rapidly. We're due to be looking after our niece when LBs sister has her 2nd baby. My parents cancelled their trip to London for mother's day over the weekend! Things are changing and we are anxious to be with LBs sister.
