Back from the shops

Walked back home from the Spar shop in Staveley where we drove to get supplies. Mostly new paths for me, wonderful. Got to a field with a dozen over friendly young heifers racing back and forth.  Turned round to take another much longer route and luckily met a couple who seemed to know about cows.  They agreed to escort me across- at 2m distance of course. On the route today I met quite a few people who wanted to stop and chat. Perhaps we are all spending so much time on our own or in  small family units, that  it's really good to have a conversation with someone different, find out where they live, what walks they have done, which shops are open, where to get take aways etc.   The 7km flatish walk took 2 hours but I must have spent at least 20 minutes chatting.

We hosted the Zoom Family Quiz with a Lake District theme, but it was too hard for the youngsters

 Day 36
