Newcastle Downunder

At the going down of the sun...

...We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

Today was an Anzac day unlike any other.  Along with most of my neighbours I stood at the end of the driveway with candle listening to the Dawn Service in Canberra.  At 6 am there was a minutes silence and I could hear echoing across the neighbourhood the faint sounds of someone playing the last post.  It was quite haunting.

The rest of the day has been a write off so to redeem myself I took the hounds to Hams beach and deviated via Swansea only to catch the last of the sunset.

I have put the hounds up in the extra.  Maggy absolutely adores Hamish.  He is beginning to soften to her.
