A little ray of sunshine

Family time

We may be in lockdown together but work means that we are only getting the odd full day off altogether. I'd actually changed jobs and hours at the end of February which should have meant more weekends off but that's all on hold for now.

With good weather forecast we decided it would be better to get our walk in earlier in the day when it was cooler, and hopefully less busy. The paths were reasonably quiet and the first 3 people we met were friends of mine so we stopped for a couple of chats, agreeing with Nicky that the year 9 maths this week was tricky and something we'd never done at school, then a lovely catch up with Jayne and the good news that her dad is going home from hospital today after 3 weeks there due to covid.

Thankfully for my family we didn't see anyone else we knew for a while after that and could just enjoy the walk through Northcliffe and up through Heaton Woods.

We were back in time for lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon making gingerbread men for Jacob's art homework, and enjoying the sunshine in the garden.
