Horseshoe Falls at Caesar Creek

Saturday
A pleasantly warm day, but the forecast called for clouds and rain to move in during the afternoon, so we got out soon after breakfast for our daily exercise up at Caesar Creek Lake. We did a couple of trails, one of them to Horseshoe Falls, which also includes the suspension bridge, and the other along Caesar creek itself, which flows from the dam. Lots of wildflowers again, the two in my collage being Spring Beauty, on the left, and Bellwort on the right, which we found especially along the creek, as it likes wet areas. We felt rather out of place not having a dog with us, as most people we passed had at least one dog with them!
Laura has had a more leisurely week this last week, having been on Spring break from her school in Kuwait, so has just had her studying for her Masters program in International Relations to work on, but it’s back to online teaching tomorrow, starting very early in the morning our time! Fortunately she doesn’t have to be online all of the school day, so usually manages to go back to sleep for a few hours at some point! Incidentally, I do mean tomorrow, since Sunday is their first day of the week, in case you think I’ve got my days mixed up!
