Spoil Views

Groundhog Day 34 of COVID-19 UK lockdown.

Another stunning sunny hot day, and this afternoon we set off from home up to the top of the coal spoil at Mynydd Y Grug, on the mountain between Machen, Caerphilly (South Wales, UK) and Blackwood. It's quite a pull up there but the 360 degree views are amazing and one is well rewarded for the effort.

The main photo shows the view towards Machen Mountain (thumbnail) with it's masts and to the right in the valley is Machen Village with the Bristol Channel and  English Coastline also shown.

The extra shows a view on top of the coal spoil which is enormous and one of many in this former industrial Coal Mining landscape.
